The Blacksmiths Restaurant in the historic town of Battle near Hastings is a charming, traditional British restaurant. Whilst the building itself dates back to the 15th century, it was updated to its current form in 1789 and was owned by the local blacksmith, although the actual smithy was situated in premises around the back. With its low ceiling and oak beams the restaurant has a lovely, cozy feel and entices many of Battle's tourists in to supplement a healthy regular clientele; so booking may well be advisable.
